Four More Production Blogs For "Merantau"
Official synopsis of the film:
In Minangkabau, West Sumatera, Yuda a skilled practitioner of Silat Harimau is in the final preparations to begin his "Merantau" a century's old rites-of-passage to be carried out by the community's young men that will see him leave the comforts of his idyllic farming village and make a name for himself in the bustling city of Jakarta. After a series of setbacks leave Yuda homeless and uncertain about his new future, a chance encounter results in him defending the orphaned Astri from becoming the latest victim of a European human trafficking ring led by the wildly psychotic, Ratger and his right-hand man Lars. With Ratger injured in the mêlée and seeking both his "merchandise" and bloody retribution, Yuda's introduction to this bustling city is a baptism of fire as he is forced to go on the run with Astri and her younger brother Adit as all the pimps and gangsters that inhabit the night hound the streets chasing their every step. With escape seemingly beyond their grasp, Yuda has no choice but to face his attackers in an adrenaline charged, jaw-dropping finale. Check out the production blogs below:-

"Dragonball Evolution" Movie Review
Director: James Wong
Cast: Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, James Marsters, Joon Park, Eriko Tamura, Randall Duk Kim, Jamie Chung
After seeing the film's trailer months ago, I was expecting the movie to suck big time. Everything in the trailer seems wrong. But now that I have finally watched the film, I have to admit that I was partially mistaken. The movie does not suck as much as I thought it would, but it is not all that great either.
I am not really sure who the film's actual target audience is as I feel that the film will appeal to neither the fans nor those who are unfamiliar with the source material. IMHO "Dragonball Evolution" is best suited for kids and curious fans. No sequel, please.

"Watchmen" Movie Review
Director: Zack Snyder
Cast: Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Patrick Wilson, Carla Gugino
The original comic book series was an instant classic and till today, it is highly regarded as one of the all-time greatest graphic novel. So, a film adaptation is highly anticipated by fans everywhere even though at the same time, many considered the graphic novel 'unfilmable'. To adapt "Watchmen" into a film poses the challenge of compressing the 12 issues graphic novel into a single movie.
Director Zack Snyder managed to pull it off and creates a very faithful adaptation of the graphic novel and this film is as close as you can get to seeing the original source material come to life. The film also managed to capture the essence of the graphic novel in deconstructing and challenging the conventional concept of superheroes.
Score: 8/10

Arnold Talks About His Cameos In "Terminator Salvation" and "The Expendables"
"I have seen the movie, but I have not seen it as a finished product yet. I have not seen it yet with the Terminator special effects and some of the sound and the music is not in there yet and so on. So I really cannot comment on it, what the movie will be like as a finished product. There's a rule that you never talk about a movie unless you have seen the finished product. But you know as I said to the director when they began that I wish them the best of luck, that I'm happy that they move forward with the franchise, I am very happy with where I am with my profession as the governor and they should try to find a way of doing a story that does not include me at all, not even one single shot in it. I don't believe in that. To kind of have them go out and promote the movie and say you know Arnold is in the movie and everyone thinks that I'm the Terminator and in fact you only see one second of me in there and so I don't think thats the right thing to do. And you know that's the danger of that, and that's why I feel reluctant to be part of the movie in the first place. So it doesn't get promoted that way.
But to talk about Sly's movie you know Sly and I we became very good friends over the last 10, 15 years, especially since the Planet Hollywood days. And we've traveled all around the world. and we've had a terrific time and so he was very helpful to me when I ran for governor. Or with any of the initiatives that were on ballot, he came to fundraising in different places and he was always there to pump up the people and all that. So I... naturally when he asked me if I would do a cameo, which will just be something quick, like I walk out of a hotel or out of a office building and he will walk up and we will bump into each other and there will be some mumbling and then we will walk off (crowd laughs). So it will be something very simple, that will be again, just a cameo, so that's what we're going to do. I promised him I'd do that and I'm looking forward to that."
Seems like 'the Governator' is hinting that he might show up in "Terminator Salvation", but he doesn't want McG to sell the movie based entirely on his appearance. I believe that's why we don't get to see him in the trailers. Anyway, what is confirmed as of now is that he will definately make an appearance in Stallone's "The Expendables".

New Trailer For "Public Enemies"
The new trailer for Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" is now online. The film is an adaptation of Bryan Burrough's book 'Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933–34' and stars Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Channing Tatum, Giovanni Ribisi, David Wenham, Leelee Sobieski, Emilie de Ravin and Billy Crudup.
The crime drama is set during The Great Depression with the focus on FBI agent Melvin Purvis' attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd in their crime spree during the 1930s. From the above trailer, I can say that robbing banks is all about style. Bank robbers nowadays are just not as well dressed as those from back in the days.

"Watchmen" Graphic Novel Gets Animated
Zack Snyder's adaptation of the most celebrated graphic novel of all time "Watchmen" will be released in theatres tomorrow and some of you may want to read the source material first for comparison. However, if you're one of those people who are just too lazy to read, fret not because Warner Home Video has just released "Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic" on Blu-Ray and DVD. Check out the trailer above for a sneak peek.
The motion comic uses Dave Gibbons' original illustrations from the graphic novel, panel by panel, and enhances them with various animation techniques so that they appear to move. Just like the original graphic novel, the motion comic is presented in 12 chapters and has a total running time of approximately 5 hours. The narration of the story and dialogues of all the characters (including females!) are provided by actor Tom Stechschulte.
