"Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" Movie Review

Director: Andrzej Bartkowiak
Cast: Kristin Kreuk, Chris Klein, Neal McDonough, Robin Shou, Moon Bloodgood, Josie Ho, Taboo, Michael Clarke Duncan

When "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" was released early this year, I was curious about the film but eventually did not watch it due to the overwhelmingly bad reviews I read everywhere. Anyway, I got kinda bored recently and I thought "Hey, how bad could this movie be?". And so, I watched the film and ended up regretting doing it. I wish I could get back the 90 minutes I wasted watching this pile of crap.

I don't even know where to begin in describing how awful this film is. But I can say that the main highlights are Chris Klein's overacting and Neal McDonough's character speaking one of the worst lines in the history of films, which is "Your father has been the milk of my business. But even milk has an expiration date." WTF?

However, the film's only redeemable quality is the fight choreography, which is quite decent. Well, that is to be expected as the fights were choreographed by Hong Kong stunt veteran Dion Lam. But unfortunately, this is not enough to save the movie.

In short, "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" is one of the worst film I've watched this year. So, please do yourself a favour and stay away from this film. Instead, spend your 90 minutes doing something else more worthwhile.

Score: 3/10
