Teaser For Live-Action Adaptation of "BECK"

The official website for the live-action adaptation of the manga "BECK" has uploaded a teaser trailer. The live-action adaptation is directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi and stars Hiro Mizushima, Takeru Satoh, Kenta Kiritani, Aoi Nakamura and Osamu Mukai as the members of the band.

In 2004, the manga was adapted as a 26-episode anime television series with the title "BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad". If you have never watched the anime series before, I highly recommend you do so. You can check out the trailer to English-dubbed version of the anime series below:-

Yukio, known by his friends as "Koyuki", is a regular 14-year-old Japanese high school student. Koyuki's boring life is changed when he saves an odd-looking dog, named Beck, from some kids. Beck's owner turns out to be an emerging rock musician, Ryûsuke Minami, who soon influences Koyuki to start playing the guitar, and even gives one to him. The story focuses on the trials and tribulations of their rock band named BECK, and Koyuki's relationships with the members of the band, in particular Ryûsuke and his sister, Maho.

"BECK" should be released in Japan by the end of the 2010.
